Commission on Low and Declining Student Enrollment

I am grateful to have been appointed as House Chair of a special commission to study the long-term fiscal health of rural school districts that are facing or may face declining student enrollment alongside Senator Adam Hinds.

The inclusion of this commission in the Student Opportunity Act was based on legislation I filed last session in the House in partnership with Senator Jo Comerford.

I look forward to working alongside you to advance the recommendations in this report through H.3567/S.2388 - An Act to provide a sustainable future for rural schools.
